Service Description

*Note: when you sign up for Monday, which is all the calendar sign up allows, you are actually signing up for the whole week.* Summer BAT Camp is scheduled every week day from June 3rd - August 23rd. Sports Played: 1) Team Sports • Soccer • Football • Wiffle Ball (baseball with wiffle balls and wiffle bats) • Kickball • Dodgeball • Capture the Flag • Newcomb (variation of volleyball) • Time Bomb (variation of kickball) • Tug of War • Flag Grab (variation of sharks and minnows) • Relay races • Kickers and Goalies (variation of soccer) 2) Partner Sports • Cops and Robbers • Dodgers and Runners (variation of dodgeball) • Noodle Freeze Tag (freeze tag using pool noodles) • Survivor (variation of freeze tag) • Noodle Attack (combination of dodgeball and freeze tag) 3) Individual Sports • Sharks and Minnows • Noodle Goose (variation of duck-duck-goose) • Zombie (variation of tag) • SPUD • Flag Alley (a non-contact football drill) • Jackpot • Plummet-ball (variation of jackpot) Structure: Summer BAT Camp is scheduled every week, Monday through Friday, from June 3rd to August 23rd. There are 3 days of sports activities, 1 day of fishing, and 1 day at the UP pool for each camp. All camps will be held at a UP Park. We maintain a 10:1 kid to coach ratio at all camps. There will always be between 1 and 3 coaches with this group present conducting activities and supervising. Lunches are provided everyday. Water is provided everyday as well. All who sign up will receive a text message on the Sunday before their camp starts with every detail for camp that week. Breakdown of Activities Each Day: 1) 15 Minutes: Icebreaker name games; organization 2) 1.5 Hours: Sports activities 3) 15 Minutes: Break 4) 30 Minutes: Team competition 5) 30 Minutes: Lunch - lunches are kid-friendly and healthy. Each day we are rotating between Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, New York Subs sandwiches, Sonny Bryans BBQ, and Mimi's Pizza. Fishing Day: 1) All fishing equipment provided, but campers are welcome to bring their own equipment if they would like 2) Fishing for perch, bass, and catfish at Curtis Park Pool Day at the UP Pool: 1) Every Friday we have a pool day at the UP Pool. On Fridays, drop off is at Curtis Park at 10am. We play dodgeball for one hour before walking the kids over to the UP pool. Here we have our own certified lifeguards watching over all pool activities. Lunch is served at 12:30pm, and pick up is at 1pm at the pool.
